Hollister, director of the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth, will be discussing the economic and labor challenges facing the state and how Michigan can emerge as an economic powerhouse in the 21st century. The free Oct. 20 event, organized by Wayne State University's Douglas A. Fraser Center for Workplace Issues, is part of the annual Edward L. Cushman Colloquium.
